Addict Sports Rules:
Welcome to AddictSports!
The following are some guidelines to help everyone enjoy their stay here at AddictSports.
Here at AddictSports we work on a 3 strike policy.
When a member violates a rule, we will proceed in this manner:
(Strike 1) A verbal warning.
(Strike 2) Suspension - A suspension is temporary sanction meant to give warning that your behavior will not be tolerated.
(Strike 3) Banning - A ban is permanent (Yer Out!)
Ways to earn a strike:
Rule #1:Spamming:
Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, quasi-legal services, or to promote another site.
Please, no posts where your only intent is to promote your product, business, or anything else when the clear motive is to use the message boards in an attempt to turn a profit. In some cases, an exception can be made. If in doubt, contact myself or any of the other moderators at the site.
Rule #2:Cross Posting:
Pretty simple here, don't duplicate the same post, in either the forum of the original post or in any other forum. If you double post by accident just delete the 2nd post. Everyone makes mistakes.
Rule #3:No flaming:
If you don't like what someone else has to say, ignore them. Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree. If you're making an effort to stay out of the war and they persist in trying to draw you in, simply click on their name and hit the "Ignore" button or contact me.
Rule #4:Sexual innuendo:
OK, I truly do understand that it can be fun lusting after that which you know perfectly well you cannot have. I have no desire to rain on anybody's parade. Let's just try to keep it PG-13, and keep in mind that children know how to use the Internet too.
Rule #5:Offensive Language:
Don't say anything your Mom wouldn't approve of - Profanity and sexuality explicit language is not permitted.
Rule #6:Personal Attacks:
This will not be tolerated here.
What kind of things can be seen as a personal attack? Negative comments towards ones race, religion, gender, age, disability and sexual orientation are just a few examples. You guys know what is a personal attack and what isn't.
Rule #7:Link Posting:
Guys and gals, do me a favor and if you wish to post a link that you have created please keep it in your signature.
Absolutely, positively no links to hate sites or pornagraphic material.
I will throw out the 3 strike rule on this offense and ban immediately!!!
We have a great group of people who enjoy baseball and other sports and are good friends here.
We try really hard not to step on each other's toes, and to respect each others opinions. If another poster has a difference of opinion with you, state your arguement in a civil and informative manner.
Giving respect will earn you respect. There is no need to throw out baseless assumptions about another poster, just because he/she doesn't happen to be on the same side of the line as you stand.
None of us mind good debates. We just do it in a proper, civil manner. If you feel the need to nitpik another members post, then go ahead. That's your right. Just please refrain from name calling and personal attacks.
Please be pleasant to your fellow posters.
Remember, newbies will make mistakes, that's why they're newbies.
The main thing here is to have fun and enjoy ourselves.
